Inition's Motion Capture Expertise

University of Westminster M.Sc. students recently completed a course using a Vicon Motion Capture system installed by Inition. Jeff Ferguson, Inition's motion capture expert, was guest lecturer and assisted students with the 6 x MX13 Camera setup.

Fiyin Ajakaiye tackles facial capture for her thesis; she is creating an interactive application for teaching singing.

Students worked on the Advanced Animation module over May 2007 and became familiar with the workflow of Vicon IQ software and Autodesk MotionBuilder. Using these software tools and capture the students performed themselves, animation takes were processed and used to drive original 3D characters.
